NVPerfHUD analyzes your graphics pipeline performance one stage at a time and displays real time statistics that can be used to diagnose performance bottlenecks in your Direct3D 9 application.

NVPerfHUD 2.1 includes several new features, including drag-and-drop application launching, a batch size histogram, shader visualization, and new pipeline analysis options.

Modern graphics processing units (GPUs) generate images through a pipelined sequence of operations. A pipeline runs only as fast as its slowest stage, so tuning graphical applications for optimal performance requires a pipeline-based approach to performance analysis. NVPerfHUD helps you improve the overall performance of your application by identifying the slowest stage in your graphics pipeline.

This release supports the entire family of NVIDIA GPUs. GeForceFX (NV3x) and GeForce 6 Series (NV4x) GPUs are recommended minspec because they support all the performance
analysis experiments and visualization modes available in NVPerfHUD. Older GPUs aresupported but with reduced functionality.
